Hand on heart, I will never put behind me the many good years I have worked with Tito Dody in the Ayala Group. I can still intensely recall the very first time I met him professionally, imposing in bearing yet very personable.
Despite us being in Ligaya together, working under him was by no means a “walk in the park.” Brothers and sisters then would often put in the picture my good fortune to have a superior who understood our chosen way of life; that indubitably, conditions in the office were all geared towards God’s glorification.
It’s true that these happened with Tito Dody but unfalteringly, he’s beyond all that. It was, in fact, our being in Ligaya together that made him expect more from me, pushing my threshold on witnessing for Christ in all the activities we plan for the group.
Truth be told, he had never been a “tito” for me at work. Not even in the slightest way, did he make my colleagues felt our bond. I was actually hauled over the coals many times and (admittedly) on a number of occasions felt frustrated, but the way he corrected me genuinely felt it’s all being done out of love and concern like a father, trying to put things right for his son.
He is one of the greatest influences I’ve had and would always cherish the many things I have learned from him. He is truly a man of honour, a man of integrity, of kindness, of fairness…”a man for others.”
Surely, 201 files and job descriptions in heaven will now be updated and put in order.
Goodbye, Sir (Tito Dody). You will sorely be missed.
I’m gonna miss tito Dody indeed, even though I’m miles away, I’m gonna miss his brotherly smile, Thank you so much tito for all the encouragement ,guidance and thank you for serving us with all your heart and for the love you had shown to us, we love you Tito Dody together with my family
I won’t forget you Tito Dody. Maraming salamat po! See you in Heavean.
As I watched the slide show prepared for Kuya Dody’s family and friends this evening, specially the photos where he held his kids/grandchild in his arms while they were still babies —- I recalled the time he shared in one of Lingkod’s gatherings several years ago (in St. Paul Pasig, I think) that one of the greatest joys he has experienced as a man, was the time that Tita Josie called him, while he was on an overseas business trip, to relay the news that she was pregnant with their first child. Truly, his beaming smile in the family photos said it all —- that the joy lasted and was multiplied throughout his lifetime as he happily fulfilled his vocation as a husband, father and grandfather.
Prior to his operation this year, I would often bump into him at Fully Booked – High Street and at Rustan’s – Sanctuario. Ordinary occasions, ordinary encounters. Though I know he was in pain, his warm brotherly greetings were more than enough to remind and inspire me that I too should endure and persevere life’s trials as a Christian man.
To Tita Josie and their family, thank you for sharing Tito Dody with us. We will be praying for him and your family always.
Tito Dody, I will forever remember your visit to our MWG when you talked to us about making the big step and taking the Ligaya covenant. Thank you for your time and wisdom – that close encounter with you helped us make one of the best and significant decisions in our life. It was painful seeing you at the hospital during your last few days but Gary reminded me that you will indeed be in a much better place, a place you have long prepared to be.
To an extraordinary man, Tito Dody Naguiat, we will miss you. Thank you for inspiring us with your well lived life dedicated to loving and serving the Lord.

Tito Dody was very instrumental in getting me into my current career path. He and Tito Larry Gamboa gave our batch a seminar which helped set clear career directions. He endorsed my application to another colleague in the Ayala Group and that got me a much needed job after CYA.
These were very simple things perhaps yet it spelled the difference in my career. He helped me in a very practical way and for that I will always be thankful.
Maraming salamt Tito Dody.

Kuya Dody. I met your twin brother Lito and sister Nena the other night as they paid their respect to my late father-in-law Tony Aranda here in LA. They are all praises for you and having put up a good fight in wanting to love and serve our Lord more. You have truly been a role model, one who walks his talk and lives his life fully for our Lord. We’ll miss you immensely.
Though I don’t really consider myself especially close to Tito Dody, I have fond memories of meeting him at the (then) Citytrust MSE branch in Ayala Avenue. Being new at my job, I remember him always having a ready smile and kind words everytime he visited the branch to transact – which made him such a joy to deal with. I am sure the Lord and all his angels are so happy with his arrival. My family’s sincerest condolences to those he left behind. Our prayers go with you during these difficult time.
“May you live in the Lord and experience life to the full!”
Dody, my brother, that’s how you would always end your emails to us…with a wish and a prayer full of brotherly love and affection. THANK YOU!
My short stint serving you in the Sector before you took a leave gave me that distinct privilege of seeing you up close….a holy man, set apart, single hearted and single minded in serving God and His people…a servant to the letter…a man of wisdom drawing from a life of prayer and an intimate relationship with the Lord.
You are an encouragement to us and I am blessed to have known you. Godspeed. You have lived your life in the Lord and experienced life in its fullness in Christ.
Ka Dody, we honor you for touching our lives as well as many others by your example – having been a faithful servant, a man of God’s own heart. Having been with you & Josie in the Central D. frat group, you inspired us with your ever joyful disposition, your gifts of leadership, music & teaching. You’ve always sought God’s presence in your prayers (& Ignatian retreats). You’ve generously open your homes for our fulfilling meetings & fellowships (not to mention all the good food). We’ll always remember your flawless reciting of Psalm 23 that strikingly reflects your relationship with the Lord,
“The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want…He restores my soul: leads me in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.. Though I walk in the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil: for You are with me…You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Thank you for allowing us to visit you Holy Week of 2008.
We will continue to pray for Josie, Happy, Terry, Rammy & Paco & your adorable Anika. – Ely & Elvi (& the Asuncion family)
We are so saddened by this news about Dody!
During LNP seminars and conferences in the past, we had the opportunity to share our lives together (our difficulties, trials, & victories) as members of the Council of Coordinators. His wisdom and insights were just awesome! Dody will be missed so deeply!
Dody, you fought a good fight, you ran the race, and you won! You conquered our hearts! Rest now brother until we see again!
We share the grief of Josie and the family that the Lord provide them with strength and courage to face this reality.
Dody, you are a true brother, a leader, a mentor, a trainer, and a “kumpare” to us. Your actions spoke louder than your words. We saw you live out your deep love for God and follow His ways and will.
Josie, we share your sadness and we will also miss Dody. Requested some sisters to give you a strong long hug when they see you. Through them, we give our love and prayers for you and your children.
The PLs of SDB were in an emergency meeting to discuss our Relief Mission. We were about to start prayers when a text from Tony P.advised of Dody’s death. Everyone groaned at the news especially since it was our intent to storm heaven with prayers for his recovery.
As we went into prayer, I saw Dody smiling down on us with his ever-so-captivating smile. It told me that our brother is snugly in the arms of our God and enjoying every minute of it!
As if to confirm this, I logged onto our new website for the first time tonight. Clicked on this section and what do I see? EXACTLY the same image of Dody that appeared to my mind.
We will miss you brother. Please pray for us especially during these difficult and challenging times.
We are honored to have known Tito Dody, a very loving brother to us and a faithful servant of God. In his simple, fatherly ways, he showed us genuine love and concern even in his most difficult times. When he had all the reasons to worry only of himself, he chose to show his concern for us.
Tito Dody, we will miss you. Thank you for showing us the way.
- Bobby, Jeng, Robelle, Mara and Franco
Even from our days at the BCBP 1981-82 and subsequently at LNP, Dody always showed a saintly character seldom seen in mortal man. Dody is now at home. His love for his brothers & sisters was not just inspiring but contagious as well. Our loss is heavens gain. Pray for us, brother.
Salamat po Tito Dody. Kayo ay isang tunay na Alagad ng Diyos.
Truly a man after God’s own heart, a brother with joyful disposition despite his sickness, a servant who makes himself always available and ready to serve.
Thank you for sharing your life to all of us and for being a true disciple of Christ. Thank you for being a true brother to all of us in Ligaya.
Thank you for inspiring us with your life, Tito Dody! I remember attending several meetings in your house in Bautista as an “adopted” Central District member when I was still single and not yet part of Ligaya. Together with Tita Josie, you opened your house to us and shared your time, resources and family with us. You have raised such wonderful and obedient children! The blessing of having known you will remain in my heart. As you enjoy your special day with Jesus and the Angels today, we rejoice in knowing that there is another Saint praying for us especially during these times of trial and calamity. And we hope that we can comfort Tita Josie and the kids in our own little way…we’ll truly miss you, Tito Dody!
I will always remember you my brother Dody for your gift of teaching. In one of our district servants retreat, you gave 3 talks on Prayer, the Ignatian Way. Now, you can all help us all in this important part of our daily activity..
Secondly, I honor you for your love of music and singing. You sang broadway songs and even brought joy to your fellow patients by singing songs of the 60s and 70s. Last month, I went to your house to bring two CDs of retro music.
Two nights later . you called to say that Josie and you were having dinner and enjoying the songs in the CDs.
I will miss you but the memories of the our community days will live on…
To Dody, who has inspired, mentored, guided me to be a better christian and servant! You have truly shown me how to love God unceasingly in the day to day activities of being a father, brother, servant in a corporate setting. While you were a busy Ayala executive, you never waivered in serving God and brothers & sisters, inside and outside Ligaya. You have shown me that God indeed can be in the workplace. It was in your humility, gentleness, passion for excellence that you showed God’s work in your life. Indeed you showed us a very good example. Binggay & I will miss your brotherly advise, laughter and most of all your endearing presence.
The Lord has blessed you with his Presence on your birthday today. I am sure you are feasting with the Lord in Heaven at this very moment and even amidst our sadness and grief on your passing, we are encouraged to keep on keeping on because we have such a mighty prayer warrior in heaven in you.
Thank you for your example of trust and faith in the Lord even amidst all you were going through! It was evident in the way you continued to find ways to serve us in community even while you dealing with your sickness.
I will always remember you Tito Dody in your portrayal of Abraham. I believe it was such a powerful witness to who you really are – a man of God, entrusting everything to the Lord!
Enjoy an eternity of worship with the Lord face to face! Pray for us here as we continue the journey we have embarked on that you have finished with humility and generosity.
Happy birthday, Tito Dody! You are now totally healed and completely restored. Your earthly life was a gift to us. We will definitely miss you. But now that you are in heaven, we are blessed again to have gained a powerful intercessor. Praise the Lord!
I was blessed to have spent time with you Tito Dody in the District even for such a short time. Your commitment to our Loving Father and to your family, your words of wisdom and your service to Him will continue to serve as inspiration to all of us. May you forever remain in the Loving embrace of our GOd.

P.S. Happy Birthday, you got the best gift….
P.S.S. Kamusta niyo nalang po ako kay bro.
I’ve always pictured Tito Dody to have a warm smile and loving embrace. He is always one of the Titos I eagerly want to see in the community as I became so fond of him ever since Mt. Moriah Productions, where I personally met him. And when I had the chance to just be with him (from Makati going to our rehearsals in Ateneo), his loving aura truly emanates from his love for God and family.
Tito Dody, thank you for sharing your life with us. You truly gave meaning to a battle well fought. You’ve won, Tito! You’re with our God now, peaceful and happy. We love you, Tito!
Tita Josie and family, know that we are with you in prayers. The community is here for you.
Kuya Dody had a way of taking notice of even the little things you do. He was a great leader and encourager. I am happy to have served under him.
Dody was my first PL when I joined the LNP weekend, as a single man, in 1984. What greatly impacted me was the joyful, God-filled home I saw with Josie and three young children. That served as a great inspiration and model for me as I subsequently got married in 1986 and had my own children after. Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers are with Josie, Happy, Terry, Ramy and Paco.
After all that has been said and done, one memory stands alone… that Kuya Dody loved the Lord with the heart of a true servant and that, we shall forever remember.
Thank you dear Kuya Dody for having inspired many of us in our love for Jesus! In a real sense, you have never left us for you continue to stay alive in our fondest memories when we recall our common and shared life in the Lord. Rest now good and faithful servant. Well done… well done indeed!
Wake of Kuya Dody will be at Sanctuario de San Antonio Chapel, Forbes Park starting tonight (Oct 2). There will be Mass at 8pm every night until Monday. LNP Night will be on Monday. Interment will be on Tuesday morning with 9am Mass. If you have pictures of Kuya Dody, pls email a copy of them to Kuya Eddie Mendoza at emendoza@lumens-solutions.com. Thanks po.
Kuya Dody truly lived out his call to be a “Man for Others”. In whatever he does, he would always look for ways to be of service to others. I have experienced his brotherly love and friendship all these years, while sharing his own wisdom and perspective in life. He will be truly missed.
Thank you tito Dody for leading by example. Thank you also for being a #1 fan of the Ligaya Music Ministry. We served side by side as you played Abraham that year. You were not only inspiring. Your humility to do the role showed all of us that no matter what service God has given you to do, you do it to the best of your ability with all love and humility. Such a powerful witness! You continued to show us how to serve God in all your personal situations. I shall forever be grateful that you touched my life (and that of my wife and family). Go with God and claim your reward. Please say a prayer for all of us who will miss you!
Kuya Dody,
Truly you are a brother who has inspired me to live the way of life of community. During your 60th birthday you told us this will be the family ( LNP ) you will live and die with. I am truly blessed to be a part of your family. Despite your hectic schedule you have always been there during our time of need. Thank you, thank you, thank you..I ask for you to please watch over Jabby. We love you and will truly miss you. Joey
I had the wonderful privilege of serving with Tito Dody in the Mt. Moria production. During practices and performances, every single time, I would actually get a very real glimpse of what Abraham went through. It wasn’t so much because Tito Dody was merely a good stage actor. For me, it was because he was first and foremost a man who genuinely loved the Lord above all else. In Tito Dody’s life, that he genuinely loved the Lord, is very well an understatement.
Pray for us, Tito Dody as you join the angels and saints in eternal worship (and celebrate your birthday in God’s embrace). You will be missed terribly. Your life is a beacon and a lamppost that will help your Ligaya brothers and sisters find their way to Jesus.
Thank you Tita Josie and family, for having shared Tito Dody with the rest of community. We have had the privilege of knowing such a father, brother and friend because you didn’t withhold sharing him with the whole of Ligaya. Know that we are here for you.
I will always remember you as a vibrant speaker, engaging your listeners when you give talks or moderating an event. Your hearty laughter was always contagious. Thank you for the friendship Dody. Thank you for your unwavering support for Tony & for the community. Thank you for sharing your life & talents w/ us. We will miss you… so long for now!
Tito Dody, thank you for showing us the face of Jesus through your genuine love and care for all people you come across with. We will surely miss such an inspiring brother. Our journey towards heaven will forever be guided by your heroic examples of being a true disciple of Jesus.
Kuya Dody was a true soldier of God yet such a gentle “father” to all of us. His desire to do God’s will even in the midst of his recent illness is inspiring We have been blessed to have served under him.
Happy birthday, Kuya Dody! You will be deeply missed.
Tito Dody was God’s instrument in our (Bing and myself) community life, this happened in our Marriage preparation (I am sure marami sa atin eh Ninong siya sa kasal), discernment for Covenant membership, service and other community life experience.
He also helped me when I encountered quandary in my job.
Truly a man with God’s wisdom and with heart of simplicity, we will truly miss you Tito Dody.
I will miss you Kuya Dody, your words of wisdom and advise has guided me through my journey and will always stay with me. You truly are my brother.
We are privileged to have been part of Dody’s journey. I have learned to suffer quietly because he went through his trials and pains without complaining. He showed faithfulness even if it was no longer demanded of him by his peers in our community, he was in the internet to support those who needed to hear him, he was on the phone to assure his friends he was OK.
Best of all, he never wavered when he heard the call of the Lord for him to join Him and he did, with all humility, promptly, and quietly.
So long Dody!
Kuya Dody was a regular commentator/lector.mass attendee at the MSE Chapel. You could sense his love for God’s Word, articulating each word, with conviction and passion when he reads from Scripture. His demeanor during the mass gives you a glimpse of how much he valued the Eucharist.
Thank you Kuya Dody, for your example and love for God. You are missed.
Dody, you led and discipled me with strength and grace. You embodied Jesus to me; you were a good, and faithful servant. Thank you, Jesus, for the fullness of life that You had given Dody.
A holy man passed away. I will definitely miss you my Pastoral Leader, Kuya Dody.
Remember when Tito Dody played Abraham…the scene where he sacrifices his son is just him. I have witnessed this man live heroically. In these last days, he died just as heroically. Tito, I am glad you have now the reward you always longed for….
I will miss you kuya dody. Thank you for being a father and a brother to me. Thank you for always being there for me and svahn. I love you, kuya Dody.
Thank you Kuya Dody for leading our sector well. Thank you for your confidence in my husband as you allowed him to follow your footsteps. Thank you for your warmth and your personal care over my family, including my children. We love you! We’ll try our very best to take care of Ate Josie.
Kuya Dody showed me what it is to have a big heart for God’s people. And I was a recipient of that love. Surely, he witnessed to us what it is to be a servant leader. See you in heaven po!
kuya dody gave me a lot of guidance and care as my pastoral leader, now I know he will have lots of time to pray for me. I love you kuya!
Tito Dody was like a second father to me. We will surely miss his steadying presence in the community. A servant of God until his last breath. Thank you Tita Josie, Happy, Terry, Ramy and Paco for sharing him with us!
